2006
In 2006, we enjoyed a memorable celebration of ballet featuring Jodie Gates and Elizabeth Parkinson, who shared insights from their time with the Joffrey Ballet. Featured company, Parsons Dance Company and a gala event were performed at The Artists’ Theater.
Local educational institutions that participated in the festival include: University of California, Irvine, Chapman University, Saint Joseph Ballet, and Laguna Dance Theater. Local visual artists and musicians include: Dawson Cole Fine Art Gallery, Marion Meyer Contemporary Art Gallery, Suzanne Pitts Photography and Southern California musicians.
David Parsons also spoke about his career and the success of his dance company. The event culminated in a free screening of a Joffrey Ballet film, followed by a lively discussion with alumni, including Tom Mossbrucker, Glenn Edgerton, Leslie Carothers, and Tina LeBlanc. It was a wonderful gathering for dance enthusiasts, highlighting the legacy of ballet.
