In 2011, Laguna Dance featured an exciting collaboration with Complexions Contemporary Ballet. Attendees participated in master classes taught by company members, gaining valuable insights and techniques. The University of California, Irvine hosted a residency with Complexions, enhancing the connection between academia and the arts. A pre-show discussion with Artistic Director Dwight Rhoden provided a deeper understanding of the company’s vision and artistry. 

Included in the ten days were dance installations in galleries throughout Laguna Beach. Local performers included: UCI Etude Ensemble, UCI dance majors and the Backhausdance Company. Local visual artists include: Deru’s Fine Arts, Laguna Art Museum and [seven - degrees].
