2019

In 2019, Laguna Dance featured an enriching Summer Intensive led by Saleemah E. Knight, Jodie Gates, and Ardyn Flynt, providing dancers with an immersive experience focused on technique and creativity. Additionally, participants had the opportunity to learn from Jean Philippe Malaty of Aspen Santa Fe Ballet in a dynamic master class that emphasized contemporary ballet techniques.

The festival presented a trio of performances Sept. 27–29 by the Parsons Dance Company from New York City, RUBBERBANDance Group from Montreal, and Ballet West from Salt Lake City, hosted by the Irvine Barclay Theatre. Irvine, CA. Nov. 2 presented a film screening and live dance for the Merce Cunningham Centennial Celebration at Laguna Art Museum, and Nov. 10 curated and presented a performance by Black Grace from New Zealand.
